Since publication on 10 October, I have tried to re-connect to marketing, which is very different to the discipline of writing.

My baby steps so far have been:

LinkedIn and Facebook posts

Providing a prize at a charity dinner

Presenting at a book club at the Charles Bar

A banner advertisement in a legal weekly newsletter

Calling on independent bookstores on the Sunshine Coast

Calling on libraries on the Sunshine Coast and in Brisbane

Attending writer's conventions

Distributing flyers at clubs I am a member of

Current planned activities include:

Entry into the Australia Book Industry Awards and the Prime Minister's Literary Awards

A four-week advertising campaign in the Noosa Times

Further book club appearances

For any readers out there who have read Eagles Doves and Vultures and enjoyed it, if you are able to post a review on whichever book site you bought it from, this would be incredibly helpful.

Following on from my recent blog for champagne lovers, the champagnes featured in EDV include Larmandier Bernier 1st Cru Terre de Vertus, Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve and Taittinger Rose.

Kathie and I visited the houses of Charles Heidsieck and Taittinger in July this year, visiting the Roman cellars and dining in both houses. Highly recommended!
